When you work as a technician at Elder Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Cedar Creek, you will be part of a close-knit team of experts who get to work in a state-of-the-art service center and who have the latest and best Mopar® diagnostic and repair tools at their disposal. As you might expect, your main responsibility will be to perform maintenance and repair on vehicles. This will begin when you get a service order from the dispatcher, at which point you will take the customer’s vehicle back to the stall. You will then be expected to perform whatever service the customer has requested. This may involve you diagnosing the causes of any malfunctions. If you discover that the requested service is unnecessary or will take longer than expected to complete the service, you will need to let the service advisor know right away.
As you perform maintenance or repairs, you should document the work that you perform. If parts are required, you will communicate with the parts department to get what you need. You may have to tag and save parts if the client has requested it or for warranty work. While you service the vehicle, you must keep the vehicle clean, quality checks the work you perform, and make sure that you follow both the laws and regulations governing service work and the manufacturer and dealership standards for accuracy and efficiency.
In addition to performing service, you will be expected to undergo regular training classes and keep up to date with factory technical bulletins.
